Thirty of One Dish Kitchen's single-serving and small-batch recipes are written for this 5x7 baking dish. Bake in the same size dish, and each recipe turns out the way it was tested.
It holds 33 ounces in a 7x5-inch space, 1¾ inches deep. That extra length is for food you want spread out, not piled up: two enchiladas side by side, a pair of stuffed peppers, or a small sheet cake. It's big enough for a full meal and small enough that you won't have days of leftovers. Readers tell me it fits in their toaster ovens, too.

Key features
- Sized for one: A 7x5-inch interior, 1¾ inches deep, holds 33 ounces. It's the size my 5x7 recipes are written for.
- Wide handles, high sides: The ridged handles are wider than most small dishes, so you get a steady grip with oven mitts. High sides keep sauces in, and rounded corners make cleanup easy.
- Freezer to oven: It goes from the freezer straight into a preheated oven, so you can prep ahead and bake later.
- One dish, start to finish: Bake, serve, store, and reheat in the same dish. It's safe in the oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher.
- Oven safe to 500°F (260°C): That covers baking, roasting, and low broil.
- High-fired stoneware: Fired at 2,300°F (1,260°C) until fully vitrified, so it's dense and nonporous.
- Lab-tested for lead and cadmium: I have our dishes tested by an independent lab. Our latest test found no detectable lead or cadmium.

Common questions
What can I make in a 5x7 baking dish?
Enchiladas, stuffed peppers, baked chicken, lasagna rollups, small casseroles, and small sheet cakes and bars. Use it any time a recipe calls for a 5x7 baking pan. See all my 5x7 recipes.
Is this the dish your recipes use?
Yes. My 5x7 recipes are written for a 7x5-inch dish that holds about 33 ounces, and this is the one I bake them in.
Is it big enough for two?
Yes, for lighter portions. Some of my 5x7 recipes serve one and some serve two, so check the servings on the recipe card.
Can it go straight from the freezer to the oven?
Yes, as long as the oven is fully preheated. It's rated from -4°F to 500°F (-20°C to 260°C).
Is it microwave and dishwasher safe?
Yes. It's safe in the microwave, and you can wash it on the top or bottom rack of the dishwasher.
Will it fit in my toaster oven?
It measures 9½ x 5½ inches with the handles and stands 2 inches tall. Readers tell me it fits in their toaster ovens. Check the inside of yours before you buy.
Can I use it in an air fryer?
Yes, if it fits. It's oven safe to 500°F (260°C), and air fryers run cooler than that. At 9½ inches long with the handles, it fits larger air fryers best. Measure your basket first and leave a little space around the dish so the air can move. My recipes are written for a regular oven, so check yours a few minutes early.
Does it come with a lid?
No. Cover it with foil in the oven. In the fridge, plastic wrap or a small plate works.
How is it different from the 5-inch square dish?
Same depth, more room. This dish holds 33 ounces to the 5-inch square's 22. Use whichever size your recipe calls for. See the 5-inch dish.
